Lava behaves physically the same as water. Upon touching it, the player will catch fire and take damage until he/she touches water or keeps eating healing stuff until the fire burns out, any items/mining spoils that come into contact with lava will be instantly destroyed. If the player has a Bucket, lava can be taken and placed wherever the player chooses, much like water can. An advantageous aspect lava has, is that it gives off light. One "block" of lavas light output is equal to that of one Torch.
